Computer Recycling Services
At CPR Computer Recycling, reuse always comes first. Our free Computer Recycling Services are designed to give unwanted and redundant computers, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment the best possible opportunity for a useful second life.
Rather than simply collecting your old IT equipment for recycling, our primary aim is to securely erase, test, refurbish and reuse as much equipment as possible. This not only helps reduce electronic waste, but also allows perfectly usable technology to remain in service for considerably longer.
What Happens To Your Old Computer Equipment?
When you use our Computer Recycling Services, your equipment is collected specifically for assessment and reuse wherever practicable. Our process is simple:
- FREE Collection – We collect qualifying redundant computer and IT equipment from businesses throughout the UK.
- Reuse First – Equipment is collected with the intention of returning suitable items to productive use rather than simply sending everything directly for recycling.
- Secure Data Erasure – Data-bearing equipment is securely processed using our professional data wiping procedures.
- Testing & Assessment – Computers, laptops, monitors and other equipment are inspected and tested at our premises to establish their potential for continued use.
- Refurbishment & Resale – Suitable equipment is cleaned, tested, repaired or refurbished where appropriate and prepared for reuse or resale.
- Responsible WEEE Recycling – Only equipment that we determine cannot reasonably be returned to use enters our WEEE recycling route and is passed to an appropriately authorised UK treatment or recycling facility.
This reuse-first approach is at the heart of everything CPR does. It extends the useful life of existing IT equipment, reduces unnecessary electronic waste and helps make quality refurbished computers and equipment available again at a fraction of the cost of buying new.
Free Computer Recycling Collections
Because CPR generates revenue by refurbishing and reselling suitable equipment, we are able to offer qualifying businesses a FREE computer and IT equipment collection service throughout the UK.
We don't simply collect everything and send it straight into the waste stream. Our business is built around finding further use for the equipment we collect wherever reasonably possible.
Better still, each year we donate a proportion of our profits to UK Charities, meaning your redundant IT equipment can provide benefits long after it has left your organisation.

EEE Reuse Before WEEE Recycling
Our service is based around a straightforward principle: if IT equipment can reasonably be reused, we believe it should be reused.
Equipment accepted through our standard collection service is collected for assessment with the intention that suitable equipment will be reused. Redundant equipment is carefully transported to our premises where it can be securely data wiped, inspected and tested.
Only when equipment is subsequently assessed as unsuitable for continued use or reuse will it enter our WEEE recycling route. Any such equipment is handled responsibly and transferred through an appropriately authorised UK treatment or recycling facility.
For this reason, our standard reuse collection service does not accept equipment that is obviously seriously damaged or clearly unsuitable for reuse, including CRT monitors or flat-screen monitors with physically broken or smashed screens.
Computer Recycling Without The Waste
For many organisations, replacing IT equipment doesn't mean that the equipment has reached the end of its useful life. Computers may simply have been replaced as part of an upgrade programme, reached the end of a company replacement cycle or no longer meet the requirements of their current user.
That's where CPR can help. By prioritising reuse, refurbishment and resale before recycling, we give redundant IT equipment the opportunity to remain useful for longer while providing your organisation with a simple and responsible way to clear unwanted computer equipment.
